Discipline Paragraph

[Points: Its importance in civilised nation - discipline in universe - discipline among insects and big animals - discipline in sports - its importance in our national life - should be cultivated from the childhood]

Discipline means obedience to the established rules of conduct. Every society has certain rules to control and regulate the life and activity of its members in order that the society as a whole may progress in harmony and peace. Discipline is a must in the life of a nation, in the army, in an institution, in schools and colleges and in the life of every individual. Without it, no civilised society can function properly. Compass guides the course of a ship in a boundless ocean and without it the ship may lose its course. There is a discipline even in the universe, where the stars and planets roll through the ages without crossing each others' path. Even small insects, like ants and bees, move along in a disciplined way; and because of discipline they have survived till today. The necessity of discipline in sports is great. Often an apparently strong but indisciplined team loses to weaker but disciplined team. Discipline makes a nation and a person great. In order to acquire this great habit, one should start to cultivate it from the very beginning of one's life.
